Fundraising for Key Workers
CHSG are working hard to support local carers, key workers and NHS staff with a number of initiatives.
Staff from our Design Technology Department are very busy manufacturing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) - fabricating full face masks and stitching scrubs for local care homes. The first batch of masks was delivered to care homes Ryelands, Eversfield House and Gracewell Healthcare and further deliveries made to Sutton Court Care Home, Lavender Oaks Care Home and Carshalton Nursing Home.
Further deliveries have been made to Chegworth Nursing Home, Mencap Sutton and Fieldway Care Home.
We will also be providing meals to NHS staff at St Helier Hospital and local food banks using the ingredients we currently have in school.
However, we want to do more! But to do this we need to buy more materials and ingredients. If you think you can help us with a donation to our charity fund, however big or small, please click on the link below.
Eversfield House Care Home sent us the following letter:
On behalf of the Manger, Arthur Tanare, and the staff at Belmont House, I would like to pass on our grateful thanks for the face shields that you very kindly delivered to us last week.
As you can imagine, supply of all PPE equipment is very hard to come by, especially shields, so again many thanks.
Wishing you and your staff all the very best in these trying times.
Wendy, Belmont House Care Home
Our Technology Department are now also stitching scrubs for our NHS Heroes.
