    Public Transport

    Train

Our nearest train station is Carshalton station, about a 3-minute walk away.

Trains run regularly between London (Victoria or London Bridge) and Carshalton including Thameslink services from north London.

For information: Thameslink trains run directly from Wimbledon. However, the timetable shows a change of trains at Sutton. This is just an end point on a circular route and you do not need to change trains.

    • 151 (Wallington, Morden) Stops by Carshalton College

    Parking

    Parking

Carshalton Girls is committed to improving the local environment by encouraging staff and students to use sustainable modes of transport whenever possible to limit the amount of traffic in our local area.

We have very limited parking onsite. We recognise that this can lead to members of the school community parking in local streets and we hope to alleviate the impact of this in any way we can with the advice given below.

    Advice to Parents & Carers

We do not allow parents and carers to park or drop their children off in the school car park.

Parents and carers are asked to drop their child away from the school, allowing them to walk the last few minutes. This will avoid traffic being disrupted, our neighbours being unable to access to their homes and potentially hazardous situations arising.

We expect parents / carers to always park considerately and avoid blocking driveways or roads.

Advice to Visitors on Open Evening

Our Open Evening is very well attended by parents/carers and prospective students. Please note that parking is not available on the school site and we would ask that, out of consideration to our neighbours, you do not park in Green Wrythe Road, West Street and Brookfield Avenue.

We would strongly advise that you use public transport as the roads in and around the area of the school are heavily congested at this time.

Disabled visitors with a Blue Badge may park on our school car park on Open Evening with prior agreement.

    Advice to Staff/Students

We recommend that all members of our school community travel to school using the most sustainable modes of transport possible. There are parking spaces allocated for staff in the school car park and a bike rack. We ask that any member of the school community who parks in the local area does so with respect to the needs of local residents, avoiding blocking driveways or roads.

All staff should provide the school with their vehicle registration in case a problem does arise.

Please do park on Wrythe Lane and avoid congestion-prone roads like Green Wrythe Road, West Street and Brookfield Avenue.

    Advice to Local Residents

We try to make every effort to avoid problems created by parking and congestion in the local area.

Should an issue arise that you suspect may be as a result of actions by a member of our school community, please feel free to contact the school to see if we have their vehicle registered with us; in which case we will contact the owner.

Alternatively, please ring the Council’s enforcement contractor, Saba Parking on 07881 675898 or 020 8661 0096. Saba Parking’s office hours are 7.45am-9.30pm Monday to Saturday and 8.30am-9.30pm on Sunday.

    Parking information

Please be aware that some local roads may have parking restrictions . More information is available on the London Borough of Sutton website.

    Disabled Access

Please contact the school before your visit to discuss any adjustments that might be needed for your visit.

We have a disabled car parking pace, though it is advisable to contact the school in advance to reserve a parking space.

We have step-free access into our main reception.

Other areas of the school are accessible with ramps, step free or lifts. However, a couple of our upper floors are not accessible.
