Parent Governor Vacancy
The CHSG Local Governing Body (LGB) has a vacancy for a Parent Governor.
Parent participation in the decision-making, processes and oversight of the school are essential for its fair and proper operation.
All new Governors undertake an induction process which helps give a better understanding of the school, education in general as well as providing the support required to be effective in the role.
Our expectation is that our Parent Governors become an integral part of the school community, so apart from attending the four LGB meetings each year, we would expect Parent Governors to be a regular visitor to the school (at least one visit per term) to support staff and raise the profile of the LGB within the school. Our Parent Governors may also be invited to attend Committee meetings of the Girls Learning Trust as well as sub committees on the LGB. This could be upwards of 5-6 additional meetings per year.
