Remote Learning

The following information will outline the expectations for home school learning whilst students are isolating at home.

All students will be required to register each day by 8:50 am using Microsoft Forms.  A link for this register will be sent to each student's school email address each morning.  (This is something students have used before in the last academic year, when working from home.)  The pastoral team will monitor attendance and will be contact home if a student fails to register.

Students are expected to complete five lessons of work each day according to their school timetable. Learning should take place during the normal school hours.  The timings of the school day for Year 10, is as follows:

Lesson 1
08.55 - 09.45
Lesson 2
09.50 - 10.15
10.40 - 11.05
Lesson 3
11.10 - 12.00
Lesson 4
12.05 - 12.55
12.55 - 13.20
Lesson 5
13.25 - 14.15
Tutor Time
14.20 - 15.15

Students should log in to Show My Homework and their school emails each day in order to access specific instructions from their class teachers about the work they need to complete.  If students are struggling with any aspects of their work, they can email their subject teachers using their school email.  This should be actioned during the timetabled lesson time (as above), as teachers will be available to respond as this time.

Some lessons will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams.  In order to access these lessons, students will need to click on a link in an email, which will be sent to them by their subject teacher. During online lessons we expect that:

  1. Students are appropriately dressed (e.g. no pyjamas) – uniform is not required.
  2. The background is suitable for the lesson (e.g. avoid showing your bed)
  3. Behaviour is excellent – exactly as we expect in lessons, in school.
  4. Click here for a student guide to accessing Microsoft Teams

Unless an online submission is required, students will be expected to show the completed work in their workbooks to their subject teacher in their next lesson, following their return to school.

If a student is unwell and not able to complete schoolwork during this period, please contact the attendance line to report her absence in the usual way, 020 8647 8294.
