Summer 2022 Public Exams

Exams at Carshalton High School for Girls are regulated by the JCQ.  It is important that students are aware of the guidelines for exams produced by the JCQ. At the bottom of this page is the Exam Guidance that we have produced for students and parents.

Parents and students may wish to visit the DofE’s “Be Exam Smart” website for information and ‘guidance to help students avoid making mistakes which could lose them marks or lead to disqualification from an exam’.

Contingency Date

Wednesday 29th June is the Contingency day which ALL students must be available for. In the event of a national major ​disruption to exams, Awarding Bodies will use this day for rescheduling affected papers.

PLEASE NOTE: Public Exams are timetabled nationally and cannot be rescheduled by schools for any reason at all.

The DfE has published information to candidates about how the Summer 2022 examination series will be adapted to take into account the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. The guidance can be read here.

On 7th February, the Exam Boards released Advance Information for candidates for the 2022 Summer Series of examinations, which can be read below:

Special Consideration

Special Consideration is a post-examination adjustment to a candidate’s mark or grade to reflect temporary illness, temporary injury or some other event outside the candidate’s control at the time of the assessment, which has had, or is reasonably likely to have had, a material effect on a candidate’s ability to take an assessment or demonstrate his or her normal level of attainment in an assessment.

Please notify the Examinations Officer, on the day of the examination, if you feel that an application for Special Consideration should be considered for submission.

Results Days: Summer 2022

GCE A Level and Vocational results will be issued from 8.30am on 18th August

GCSE results will be issued from 9.00am on 25th August
