Exams Information for Candidates

Exams at Carshalton High School for Girls are regulated by the JCQ.  It is important that students are aware of the guidelines for exams produced by the JCQ. 

Parents and students may wish to visit the DfE’s “Be Exam Smart” website for information and ‘guidance to help students avoid making mistakes which could lose them marks or lead to disqualification from an exam’.

Contingency Day

The designation of contingency days within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations.

Candidates are reminded that they must remain available until the contingency date should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
