Exam Certificates are official documents issued by the Examination Boards after each external exam season.
Please note that the certificates are not the same as the exam statement of results issued by the school on results days.
It is important that students collect their certificates as soon as they are available and keep them in a safe place. Employers, universities and colleges may ask to see them for many years.
Certificate collection sessions are arranged in school during November and December each year. The collection dates for 2025 certificates are:
If you have missed the collection date for 2024 GCSE or A Level Certificates, please contact Ms Maybury, Exams Manager on rmaybury@carshaltongirls.org.uk to arrange collection.
The school is required to hold exam certificates for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. After this time, they can be destroyed.
If you lose or damage your certificates you should to contact the relevant exam boards and follow their replacement certificate procedure. This can be a costly and lengthy process which you will need to instigate and pay for yourself.
