Each school has a Local Governing Body (LGB) which reports to the Trust at trust board meetings. The LGB is responsible for:

  • Admissions;

  • The school’s curriculum;

  • Attendance;

  • Special Educational Needs and Pupil Premium students;

  • Safeguarding in line with trust policy;

  • Health and safety in line with trust policy;

  • Local premises issues.

The Carshalton LGB meets on average four times a year, once in the autumn and spring terms, twice in the summer term. Some of the LGB’s responsibilities are delegated to two committees which meet termly, the Curriculum Committee and the Premises Committee.

The Chair of the LGB is Mr Malcolm Munro, the Vice-Chair Mr Paul Harding. The Chair and Vice-Chair are appointed by the Trust Board annually. A full list of the present governors is set out below together with their responsibilities. Any governor can be contacted by writing to them via the school.
