‘Brixton Beach’ is a powerful novel in the Year 10 Tutor Reads programme.
It’s a story set in both Sri Lanka and England written by author and artist, Roma Tearne. Roma Tearne paid CHSG a virtual visit on Tuesday 14th June for a Q&A session with a Year 10 tutor group.
Students were keen to ask her how she created characters, what inspired the plot and the impact on some of the hard-hitting themes on readers.
Roma was delighted with the enthusiastic reception of her work, asking students what they enjoyed most about her novel.
