CHSG celebrates National Poetry Day on Thursday 2nd October with a competition to find CHSG's Poet Laureate!

This year's theme is 'PLAY'. The CHSG Poet Laureate will be supported by the English team to write and perform poems to mark significant events at our school.

During PM Tutor-time on Thursday 2nd October, tutors will guide our students to generate ideas for their own poems. Students are encouraged to be as playful as possible with their poems.

They can submit them written or recorded, with/without music or dramatised.

Submissions are due to Miss St Catherine - cstcatherine@carshaltongirls.org.uk or in person (A4/English Office) by Thursday 16th October.

The winner and runner(s) up will be announced after half term and earn house points for their houses as well as special prizes. Please encourage your daughter's participation!
