At CHSG, student leadership is central to creating a vibrant and inclusive school community where every voice is valued. With over 250 leadership roles available across all year groups, we provide a wealth of opportunities for students to develop their skills, contribute to school life, and embody our core values of community, accountability, resilience, empowerment and sisterhood.

School Council Representatives are elected from Years 7 to 13 and act as the bridge between students and staff. They support a wide range of initiatives including diversity, wellbeing, teaching and learning, and community projects, ensuring that student views influence school decisions.

Student Parliament members represent their tutor groups and meet regularly to discuss topics important to their peers. They gather feedback and ideas from their forms to bring forward in discussions overseen by the Pastoral Team and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the student voice is heard at every level.

Kindness Ambassadors champion kindness within their tutor groups and the wider school community. They promote respectful behaviour, support anti-bullying initiatives, and lead new kindness-focused projects, helping to nurture a caring and supportive environment.

House Captains organise and promote house events and competitions, encouraging participation and teamwork across year groups. They work closely with Sixth Form leaders to build school spirit and provide opportunities for friendly competition and collaboration.

Year Group Ambassadors support key school events such as open evenings and act as positive role models, representing their year groups with pride and promoting our school values. This role helps younger students engage with the school community and develop their confidence.

EDI Core Group Representatives play a crucial role in fostering inclusivity by celebrating cultural diversity within their tutor groups. They share information about different cultures and festivals, promote understanding and respect, and raise awareness about equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.

Through these varied leadership roles, students at CHSG learn the importance of collaboration, empathy, and responsibility. By encouraging student voices in all aspects of school life, we empower our students not only to lead but to inspire positive change – creating a school community where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported.
