At CHSG, we are proud to offer our Sixth Form students the Aspire Programme, created to support those with ambitions to study at the most competitive universities, including Oxbridge, and for highly sought-after courses such as Medicine.
The Aspire Programme provides students with the chance to broaden their knowledge through super-curricular opportunities, academic lectures, and extension courses, encouraging intellectual curiosity and a love of learning beyond the classroom. Alongside this, students receive personalised support at every step of the UCAS application process, from crafting stand-out personal statements to preparing for admissions tests and interviews.
Our aim is to ensure that CHSG students have the confidence, skills, and guidance they need to excel in their chosen field and to thrive at the highest level of higher education.
As part of our programme, we run Aspire Club every week – open to all KS5 students.
This school has supported me through my application, as an early applicant, in many ways. The Aspire programme has given me the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with the sixth form team to finalise my application, which has been vital in getting it done early. There has been support from the governors as well, and Mr Vickery has been going through my personal statement with me and helping me make adjustments. Overall, the support here has been beneficial to my university application experience. – Eliza S
The Sixth form team and teachers supported me immensely during my UCAS application, with the Aspire club especially helping me as an early applicant, making things much easier and less stressful! During the application process, I was able to have one-on-one sessions with teachers where we went through my personal statement line by line, making me feel much more confident about my overall application. - Mariem O
