  • Celebrating a Fantastic Day of Careers Education

It has been an exciting and inspiring period for careers education at CHSG, with students across all year groups taking part in a wide range of activities designed to broaden horizons, develop skills and support future aspirations.

Year 7 students were introduced to Unifrog, our online careers platform, which will help them explore career pathways, discover their interests and begin planning for their futures. As part of Green Careers Week, Year 8 students learned about the growing range of careers focused on sustainability and environmental protection, gaining insight into how they can contribute to a greener future.

Year 9 students benefited from engaging talks delivered by representatives from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and SES Construction. These sessions provided valuable insights into the world of work, employment opportunities and the skills employers value most.

Year 10 students enjoyed a variety of enriching experiences, including a RISE workshop, a careers in medicine talk, and a careers panel featuring professionals from PwC, the Met Police, DWP and SES Construction. Students impressed our guests with their thoughtful questions and enthusiasm as they explored different industries and career pathways.

Meanwhile, Year 12 students took part in mock interviews with employers, helping them develop their interview techniques, build confidence and receive valuable feedback to support their next steps beyond school.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, engagement and maturity shown by our students throughout these experiences. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all the employers, organisations and speakers who generously gave their time and expertise. Their support plays a vital role in helping our students make informed decisions about their futures and preparing them for success beyond CHSG.

We look forward to providing many more inspiring careers opportunities in the months ahead.
