Years 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - Sixth Form
On 8th-10th November we will have our first set of Year 11 mock examinations for English, Maths and Science and then these will be followed by other subject examinations in February.
On Tuesday 14th September Sixth Form students took part in a teambuilding day.
Sith Form students had the opportunity to take part in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). RYLA participants are nominated by local Rotary clubs.
The school's Immunisation Team will be coming to the school on Wednesday 29th September to administer flu vaccine to Years 7-11.
As the Secondary Transfer evening is now online this year, the early finish on 23rd September has been cancelled for students.
The netball and football trials are taking place on Tuesday 28th September, 3.00-4.15pm
The CHSG governing body has a vacancy for a Parent Governor.
The CHSG lunchtime and after school clubs will commence from Monday 20th September.
Students studying English and English Literature GCSE courses (two separate qualifications), will be studying four texts for the exams: ‘An Inspector Calls’, the AQA Poetry Anthology, ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet’/’Macbeth’. This is quite a number of texts.
A Level English students are currently studying “Othello” and “A Streetcar Named Desire” for English literature.
We are continuing to move the school forward in how we use technology more effectively.
