The Carshalton Girl's Local Governing Body is a committee of the Girls' Learning Trust (GLT) Board. Details fo the GLT and the work of the LGB can be found in the Governance Handbook on the GLT website. 

In summary, the role of the CHSG LGB is to:

• Set the strategic direction of the school in line with the GLT strategy.
• Monitor and challenge the progress of the school in achieving its priorities.
• Ensure the school meets its statutory responsibilities.
• Ensure the premises are well managed.
• Report to the school's stakeholders.

The LGB meets three times a year, once each term. Governors know the school well and bring different expertise and skills to their role.   

The Chair is appointed by the Trust Board annually. The Chair of the LGB is Ms Anita Patel.
