At Carshalton High School for Girls, Music is a subject for all students at any ability level to participate and thrive in. Music is a rigorous and challenging academic subject compulsory at KS3 and optional for GCSE and A Level. The rewards of studying Music are felt by our students who engage practically in composing and performing tasks, achieving personal development and contributing to their community.
Students at Carshalton High School for Girls have access to our practice rooms; specialised rehearsal spaces equipped with a drum kit, electric guitars, bass guitars, and pianos. Student also have access to a range of acoustic and orchestral instruments. Students are encouraged to become involved in our musical community by participating in our extra-curricular groups, concerts and annual musical production.
There will be concert and performance opportunities through the year including tours abroad and workshops with external companies. If you would like to be involved see Miss Ogden in the Music Department.
