To ensure a smooth transition into the Sixth Form, students are required to attend an induction day on Tuesday 3 July 2018.

To ensure a smooth transition into the Sixth Form, students are required to attend an induction day on Tuesday 3 July 2018.

During the day all students will have an opportunity to meet the Sixth Form team, attend lessons and consider making amendments to their subject choices. They will also have the opportunity to hear from previous and current Sixth Form students about their experiences, ask questions about Sixth Form life and extra-curricular opportunities that are available.

During the day subject staff will be providing students with reading lists and preparatory work to give them a head start in their chosen courses. This work should be completed by the first week back. Most of the work will also be available on the school website if parents would like to see the tasks that students have been assigned.

If any students would like to discuss their choices further they can book a one to one appointment with a member of the Sixth Form Team. They will be given further details of how to sign up to this on the day.

Students should meet in the hall for 8.30 and will register there too. Any new students not sure about where to go can head to reception where there will prefects to meet and greet them.

The Sixth Form café will be open all day. Unlike the cashless system that operates in the rest of the school, students can only use cash in the café to purchase items.

We are certain that the students will find the day interesting and informative.
