On Thursday 15th March 2018 twenty Year 9 students attended the Accenture STEM day at The Crystal on Royal Victoria Dock in East London.
“It was very exciting and gave me ideas on having a job involving STEM. One of the reasons why was because of the panel session at the end, where five ladies talked about how men thought women were inferior in Science. We aren’t! They also showed slides that showed them travelling the world, finding new people, doing Science, which sounds extremely exciting.”
“We coded a cover for National Geographic which I really enjoyed doing. Then we did a treasure hunt and got to play with all the interactive interviews. It was good fun and I especially enjoyed ‘Preventing Fire’. We designed an idea to reduce food waste.”
