Fundraising

The first half of the Spring Term has seen some of our most intense fundraising as Year 9 students embark upon their First Give project.

The first half of the Spring Term has seen some of our most intense fundraising as Year 9 students embark upon their First Give project.

This is where students research local charities and decide that they would like to raise money for a specific cause.  They have to then put together presentations and the best of these will be shown at our First Give presentation evening to a panel of judges.  The organisation First Give (previously known as the Youth Philanthropy Initiative) attends the evening and awards the winning team a cheque for their chosen charity.

I am sure this year will be another wonderful evening following those of previous years.

As part of the fundraising, Friday 12th February was a mufti day. Students brought in £1 to wear their own clothes: the theme was 'Shades of Blue'.
