School Uniform

IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY AT THE SCHOOL,
THE NEW REQUIREMENTS MUST BE WORN FROM SEPTEMBER 2008

• The regulation school uniform skirt or trousers.
• Pale blue and white, small-checked blouse.
• 'V' neck sweatshirt with school logo.
• Sensible outdoor garment: plain dark blue or black (denim, leather or fur coats/jackets - real or simulated - must not be worn).
• Plain black shoes with low heel. Shoes with high heels, strap sandals or trainers are not permitted.
• White or navy short socks. All tights must be plain navy blue (patterned, diamond or swirl tights are not permitted.
• A plain navy headscarf for girls who need to cover their heads on religious grounds.
• In the winter a plain navy blue scarf may be worn with outdoor uniform only.
• A suitable school bag. Carrier bags are not suitable for this purpose.

For Dance

• Black leggings/plain black tracksuit bottoms, no stripes
• Short sleeved white sports shirt with School logo
• Jazz shoes* or bare feet (*these can be purchased from the Dance Department)

PE Uniform

• Short sleeved white sports shirt with school logo.
• Plain black shorts/tracksuit bottoms (no stripes)
• Plimsolls or trainers
• White socks
• Shin pads and football boots for football and hockey would be preferable but not compulsory.
• Optional Item:
• Black sweatshirt with Dance/P.E. logo

Jewellery and Hairstyles

Jewellery is not part of the uniform. The only items permitted are as follows:

• A wristwatch
• Girls with pierced ears may wear one pair of small plain studs. Sleepers or hooped earrings of any type are not allowed. The wearing of nose studs, any other form of facial jewellery and tongue piercing are not permitted. Covering such jewellery with a plaster or replacing it with a plastic stud is not permitted.
• A religious necklace which must be worn inside the blouse or sweatshirt.
• Conventional hairstyles and colours only are acceptable. Any hair ornaments must be navy blue or white

Security

We strongly recommend that students wear a purse belt rather than carrying a purse in a bag. Your daughter must provide her own padlock to secure her locker.
