Welcome to the Carshalton High School for Girls website.  Thank you for your interest in our school.

Carshalton High School for Girls was judged by Ofsted in January 2011 as a ‘Good school with outstanding features’ and described as ‘strongly improving’.

We are an inclusive learning community that puts excellence, achievement, respect and care at the heart of everything we do.  These principles are reflected in our core values of Community, Harmony, Success and Growth.

    • See the upcoming events at SCOLA that may be of interest to you: including Free Family Learning, The Big Event in Manor Park and a talent competition “Talent of Tomorrow” - open to all ages!


    • As part of our 3 Learning Skills Day in June I am currently organising a visit to London on Wednesday 20th June for Year 8 students. The theme is 2012 Olympics.

    • A field course for students intending to take A2 Biology next year will take place on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th July.


    • Year 10 student will take their GCSE Year 10 Mock examinations between Monday 18th June - Friday 22nd June


    • We are keen that as many of our Year 11 students as possible take part in a series of GCSE revision and immersion classes leading up to, and including, the exam period.


    • I recently participated in the Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Spelling Bee and I am going to share my experiences. 


    • As we enter this period of the summer exams, we are very conscious of the need to allow students the time to revise for their final exams.
