In Year 10 students learn about the differences in our society and the impact this has on how it is run. They will look at poverty and differences in health among rich and poor people. They will gain a strong understanding of inequalities amongst social groups and investigate the government’s approach to creating legislation to create more equality.  They will be able to evaluate this from varying perspectives, such as Feminist, Marxist, Functional and the New Right.
