Students will be involved in a number of activities including, research tasks, group work, presentations, discussions and individual portfolio work. They will also get the opportunity to present their work in a variety of forms, and will learn how to manage their own time in order to meet deadlines. Good written and oral communication skills are essential for this course.

This course would be helpful for students who wish to work in the care sector. It is recommended that students complete a Key Stage 4 work placement in a related area. The qualification will also allow progression onto the Post 16 Level 3 course offered in the Sixth Form.
