Economics

The Economics Department has traditionally achieved excellent results at A Level, following the AQA specification. Often, students continue their studies on to Degree level.

Some of the discussion topics covered in the course:

Why are resources allocated in the way that they are? Why are there economic differences from country to country, and area to area? Why can poverty not be eradicated? At what stage of the economic cycle is the country currently in? What affect does this have on the wider economy, and the buying power of consumers?

If you like debates, if you want to solve problems or if you simply want to understand current economic affairs, this is the course for you
