Additional Music Lessons
Additional Lessons
We are able to offer students additional music lessons which are delivered by peripatetic teachers in school. Peripatetic teachers are not employed by the school so future liaison would be directly between you and them. You will receive further details when the student starts her lessons. We would ask that the school is contacted if the students is likely to be absent on the day of her lesson. Students need to practice regularly at home and to join at least one extracurricular music club. All lessons take place during the day with times rotating every week; the timetable is organised by the Music Department.
Fees
Most lessons take place during the school day on a rota basis and begin from £60 for 10 x fifteen-minute lessons per term but you may have longer if you wish with the cost rising up to £130 per term for ten 30-minute lessons. Please pay as soon as you receive an invoice from the teacher. Remember that they are trying to make a living! Failure to pay within two weeks may result in a further £10 being added to your bill. If the cost of lessons is difficult to meet then you could consider the following options:
Instruments
The school has a limited number of instruments but students can borrow them from Sutton Music School for an additional fee.
Please contact The Sutton Music Centre on 020 8640 8781 for more details.
Stopping Lessons
If a student decides that she wishes to discontinue her lessons then half a term’s notice must be given in writing or a charge for the half term will be due.
