My Nan started to panic and the thing that amazed me the most was the amount of people that walked past.  I walked up to this man who was lying on the ground. I checked for response, there was none, so I checked his breathing.  Phew!  He was breathing.  Another girl helped me and told my Nan to phone the ambulance and tell them what had happened. 

 

Meanwhile the girl and I put the man in the recovery position.  We stayed with him until the ambulance came.  My Nan sat down and couldn’t believe what we had done. The ambulance man said well done.

 

Then I thought to myself, those First Aid lessons really did pay off.

 

So thanks Miss Marshall, you really helped this man, and me.
