On Thursday 13^th October we held our usual annual dance workshop for our cluster Primaries.  This year was adjusted slightly to fall into line with a South London and Sutton heat of a Street Dance Competition to feed into a National Competition launched by ITVs ‘Daybreak’ and promoted by dance crew, Diversity.

 

Mrs Whitcomb and Year 12 Dance Leaders, Simona, Michelle, Gemma, Yemisi, Taylor and Shannon taught the beginning of a dance and then gave small groups of the Primary school children a chance to add their own ideas with the help of the senior girls.  Each group then performed their dance to the others.

 

The children and teachers thoroughly enjoyed their time with us and the Dance Leaders had a chance to experience teaching. All of them did exceptionally well with their groups. A big thank you goes to Mrs Whitcomb and the girls for an energetic and entertaining session.
