Year 8 Fundraisers

Save the CHildrenThis term each Year 8 tutor group has been working hard to organise a variety of events to raise money for ‘Save the Children’. In form time we have been learning about charities and discussing their importance.  Each tutor group had a week to raise as much money as possible.  The tutor group to raise the most money will win house points. All the money will go to ‘Save the Children.’ In total, we have raised £391.41.

Save the Children aims to help children in need all around the world.  The charity does a great deal of work in Africa, for example, helping people affected by the drought in Kenya through the East Africa Appeal. A child dies every 6 minutes. Save the Children also do some fantastic work in the UK where nearly one in three children live in poverty.

If you would like to make a donation to ‘Save the Children’ put your money in an envelope marked ‘Save the Children donation’ and hand it in to the Finance department.
