Design Museum Trip
On Friday 13th of May with my Year 9 Product Design Class, we travelled to the Design Museum. We left at the beginning of break and walked to the Carshalton Train Station and got the train to Balham. Then we got the tube to London Bridge. From London Bridge we walked to the Design Museum along the Thames. Once we got there we were told what was going to happen during our visit. On the first floor was the first exhibit. It was out in a big room with table, and there were many digital phot
os. On the second exhibition there was a mix of different modern designs - from chairs made out of newspaper, to structures made out of cellotape and a table made out of a magnifying glass.
When we went into the workshop we looked at different chair designs that are available to buy on the market and analysed them. Overall the day was very educational and fun as well as there was something everyone could enjoy.
