Physics Trip to Thorpe Park
On the 3rd July, the Year 10 Triple Science students went on a trip to Thorpe Park, accompanied by Mrs Chapman and Mr Dunn, as we are currently studying the energy of rollercoasters and circular motion in Physics.
I had never been to Thorpe Park before and was excited to go. The weather unfortunately was not amazing, however that didn’t stop us going on the rides. Mr Dunn gave us all worksheets of questions to fill out during the day. We left school at 9 am and arrived back at 4pm. I had a great time there and me and my group went on nearly all the rides. My favourite ride was “Saw” although we all liked the new ride “Swarm”. Overall I had a great day and want to say a massive thank you to Mr Dunn and Mrs Chapman for taking us.
Day, 10CE
On this trip we had to complete a worksheet containing questions from what we had previously studied in our science lessons. This module contains questions on the energy of Rollercoasters which fits in perfectly with Thorpe Park. We arrived at Thorpe Park at 9.45. At 10 o’clock we were given our work and in our little groups we went to the rides. While queueing we managed to fill in some of the answers. My group went around many of the rides and even though the weather wasn’t great we enjoyed ourselves a lot. We want to say a big thank you and good-bye to Mrs Chapman and Mr Dunn.
