Design & Technology Competition
Four students will take part in a very exciting competition to design a learning resource area, the prize for which is a free modular classroom for the school!
Our school is one of only four schools chosen to enter this competition which is being sponsored by Building Future Education UK. They will provide 2-3 architects to work with our team of four students. The prize is a chance to win a free modular classroom for the school.
The event takes place on Thursday 10th May 2012. Full details of the arrangements for the day are available here.
Parents who wish their daughter to participate in the competition should sign and return the reply slip together with the School insurance form by Thursday 3rd May 2012. There is also a facility to indicate on the reply slip if the student is to return home by herself from Carshalton station or if she is to be collected by yourself from the school.
There will be a further opportunity for the design team to work with an architect in school for a few hours on Tuesday 1st May 2012.
There is no cost for this event and refreshments will be provided.
It will be a very long day but the students will have a tremendous experience. There are only four spaces so it will be first come, first served basis. The successful students will need to be in full school uniform. Students have been recommended from the year 9 Design and Technology group.
