Lightning Strike

NRThe bolt of lightning struck scaffolding on our new sixth form building but a fork from the bolt hit the umbrella Mr Rahman was carrying.  He said: "All of a sudden I remember the umbrella in my right hand being flung away and my right arm feeling quite hot and shaking a lot. I remember looking at it and thinking what's going on?  Girls came running up to me saying, 'Are you ok?'"

Mr Rahman was checked by first aiders at the school before going to hospital for a medical check up.  An ECG was done at the hospital but Mr Rahman was pronounced fit, well and very, very lucky!
It's also very lucky that Mr Rahman has a great sense of humour as there are many puns and jokes sparking his way as a result of his lightning experience.

The incident was reported in the London News, the Sutton Guardian, and Croydon Today.
