Sports Day 2011
There was a great atmosphere both in school for the morning’s field events and walk and for the afternoon's track activities at Sutton Arena. Everyone who took part or cheered their team on made it a very enjoyable and successful day.
We had some excellent performances, notably Chloe Overy in 7EF running under three minutes in the 800m with a time of 2 min 58sec, Leah Montebello 8CL winning both the 100m and 
the 200m and Rebecca Penfold 9LC for an outstanding performance in the 800m in a time of 2m 44sec and a silver in the 200m. We had a great competition in the Year 9 long jump with it being eventually won by Tide Adesanya 9CE with the longest jump of the day at 4m 17cm and another excellent day for Ellen Howes, 10RJE winning the 200m in impressive style, the High Jump and bringing home 10RJE to win the 4 x 100m relay.
The tutor gruop competition: The tutor group that contributed the most points to their House was 8HJK (Yellow House) scoring a huge 86 points with 9CE (Blue House) only just behind on 84 points.
The overall winners for Sport Day 2011 was the Blue House with Red in 2nd place, Yellow 3rd and Green 4th.
