London Youth Games Gold Medalist
I was asked to take part in the London Youth Games taking place on 12th June 2012 in Beckenham.
I represented Sutton as I previously swam against other Boroughs from across the country. I was very nervous about how I was going to do and where I would be placed at the finish. Before and during my races I did my best to think positively about getting a medal. I told myself over and over again in my head "I am going to win a gold medal".
Eventually when I finished all my races and the results were done, amazingly, I was presented with three medals - two silver medals for back crawl and relay, and one GOLD medal for front crawl. I was pleased with my results and I put it all down to pure determination and positivity.
