Sixth Form - Application guidelines

Please read this BEFORE completing your application

Students who expect to gain 5 A*-C grades with the majority at A*, A and B are invited to apply for 4 AS courses or one Double Award course and 2 AS levels. At the end of Year 12 students then choose 3 subjects to study to full A level or alternatively a Double Award course plus one other A level subject.

Students who expect to gain 5 A* - C grades with a mixture of A*, A, B and C grades are invited to apply for 3 AS subjects or one Double Award course and one AS level.

Students whose predicted grades might be less than the above and do not gain 5 A* - C grades should consider the Intermediate GNVQ courses on offer, with perhaps GCSE Maths and English as required.

All students are expected to follow an Enrichment course, details of which can be found at school or on the Evening.

Subjects on offer at Advanced Level

• Subjects with a * are APPLIED A levels and are taken as double A levels (count as 2 choices)
• You can choose English and Media Studies in either column they are in
• Choose no more than 1 subject from each column

Enrichment Activities - ALL students much choose an Enrichment activity
