Winners of the Book Cover Competition
This half term the Art department ran a competition to tie in with National Storytelling week. The students were asked to design a cover for their favourite book. Students from Year 7-9 took part and we had lots of entries. The book covers were created in a range of media from sewing, paintings and computerised collages. The department had a difficult time judging!
The overall winners for 1st place were awarded 100 house points, a book and certificate and they were Holly in Year 7, Wiktoria in Year 8 and Mira in Year 9. Following closely in 2nd place were Zoe and Kanisha in Year 7, Amber in Year 8 and Charlotte in Year 9 who were awarded 75 house points and certificates. In 3rd place Kimberley and Eloise won in Year 7, Sabriya in Year 8 and Sharisse in Year 9, they won 50 house points and a certificate. Finally as we had so many entries we awarded Livia and Olivia in Year 7 10 additional house points for 4th place.
